Cannes → Îles de Lérins
Barely a mile offshore — the clearest anchorage on the coast.
The simplest, most rewarding day
Barely a mile off Cannes, the Îles de Lérins hold the clearest anchorage on the coast. Head for the channel between Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat for a morning swim, lunch aboard, then a walk ashore — the Fort Royal or the monks’ abbey. Ideal for every boat, from day-boat to motor yacht, it is often our guests’ favourite outing.
What is the yacht route from Cannes to the Îles de Lérins?
It is the shortest and easiest route on the coast — barely a mile from the Vieux-Port de Cannes or Port Canto out to the channel between Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, a matter of minutes under power. That closeness is exactly why it is the most popular day and half-day outing from Cannes: you are anchored in clear, sheltered water almost as soon as you leave. A typical day drops anchor in the channel for a morning swim, lunch aboard, and an afternoon ashore on Sainte-Marguerite to walk the island paths or see the Fort Royal, before an easy run home. Because the crossing is so short, the Îles de Lérins also make a perfect first stop on a longer day that continues to the Cap d'Antibes or along the Esterel. Our skippers know which side of the channel stays calm in any wind, so the anchorage is comfortable whatever the day brings.
