Classic yachts in the Bay of Cannes
The Régates Royales, organised by the Yacht Club de Cannes, gather traditional sailing yachts, metre classes and Dragons on the waters of Cannes every late September. The 48th edition races 19–26 September 2026, the week after the Yachting Festival — the bay swaps new hulls for century-old rigs.
What a yacht adds
- Follow the racing from the water, at a respectful distance from the course, with a captain who knows the race areas and the organisers’ instructions.
- Lunch at anchor at the Îles de Lérins, a mile from the start line, then return for the end of the races.
- A base alongside in the Vieux Port, where the classic fleet moors in the evening, subject to berths available during the event.
